Lawn Farm Cottage is a charming property with stunning countryside views, a lovely pool, and a peaceful location ideal for relaxation. Guests appreciate the friendly owner, the spacious garden, and the cottage's traditional farmhouse feel. While some noted the property could benefit from updates and a deep clean, the overall experience is one of comfort and enjoyment, with many looking forward to returning.
The majority of guests found the cottage comfortable and clean, though a few mentioned it could benefit from a deeper clean. The presence of maggots in one instance seems to be an outlier rather than the norm.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, stunning views, and good access to local attractions. It is described as peaceful and ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle.
Guests found the beds comfy and the cottage homely. Some suggested that the mattresses could be upgraded and the furniture modernised, but overall the cottage provided a comfortable stay.
Facilities like the pool and well-equipped kitchen are appreciated, but some guests noted issues with appliances and suggested the property could do with some maintenance. The unheated pool was a point of contention, enjoyable for some and too cold for others.
Guests mentioned thoughtful touches such as complimentary wine, biscuits, and milk upon arrival, as well as toys and games for children. While these gestures are warmly received, they may vary with each stay.

On a working farm, but you would never know. We did not go prepared for swimming, but wish we had done so. The enclosed swimming pool was clean and relatively private. Mattress not to our liking, but still slept well. A cottage with character....including the squeaky floorboards up stairs. Extremely well kitted out. TWO fridges was a welcome bonus. Did not try the open log fire on this visit, however we did need the heating on for a short time in the evening(s). WIFI/internet great. Welcome tray with homemade wine & bickies, plus fresh milk in the kitchen fridge (big thank you). Whilst September did not bring the best of weather, it did not detract from a brilliant stay. A minor disappointment was the inability to benefit from the extensive views from the downstairs windows due to shrubs being overgrown plus the patio area was not prepared for use (although weather was terrible in any case). THANKS MRS REEVE (?) , you have a wonderful retreat and we recommend it to any one who wants a comfy secluded holiday.

It has everything you need for a home from home stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. We were very lucky with our weather and the swimming pool was an added bonus which my son thoroughly enjoyed. It could be a bit nippy in there if the sun hadnât been out but still wonderful. Views were stunning. Would definitely go back for another stay. Thank you so much.

The house was spacious and well equipped. We had everything we needed and the cottage was quiet, had fantastic views and was in a great location for visiting places such as Gloucester and going into Wales. My son loved the view of the train line in particular. The pool was also lovely and although not heated, the cover made it plenty warm enough at the time of year we stayed. The recently installed super fast internet was also useful and popular with my teenagers. With thanks to our friendly hosts.
