Settled in the heart of the charming coastal village of Torquay, Devon is The Old Sail Loft. This wonderful, reverse-level holiday home is aptly named after its historic roots as an Old Sail Loft in the 19th century and benefits from a fabulous location near the beach and local amenities and a welcoming, open-plan living space with characterful original features; perfect for couples looking for a memorable seascape. Cross the threshold and head up the stairs where you can head straight into the fully-equipped kitchen to help rustle up a hearty meal with your partner. Enjoy your culinary creation at the dining table or the breakfast bar before snuggling up on the plush sofa in front of the Smart TV or savour the last of the sun outside with a glass of wine in the enclosed courtyard. When stars fill the sky, wash off the day in the sleek shower room before catching your rest in the double bedroom, there is also a single room for flexibility in sleeping arrangements. The Old Sail Loft lies conveniently paces from local stores where you can pick up all the necessities for your self-catered stay, and from pubs including the Bull and Brush and Appleby’s, both perfect places for date nights! On sunny days, make the most of Torquay beach where you can soak up the sun, splash around in the sea or simply admire the breath-taking views across the azure as the swells lap at the shores. For a taste of the town’s history, explore Torre Abbey and the antiques contained within the impressive building and 7-acre gardens or Torquay Museum; for something a little different visit Dinosaur World or the unique Torquay Crime Museum. Follow the coast to find the iconic coastal town of Paignton where you can appreciate its golden shores, traditional pier with bowling, fairground rides and crazy golf or spend a full day at Paignton Zoo Environmental Park. Dartmoor National Park, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts looking for hiking, walking and cycling trails, is also easily accessible by car. Make unforgettable memories at The Old Sail Loft.
Torquay, a popular seaside town in South Devon, has been drawing tourists for over two centuries due to its sandy beaches, piers, palm trees, and abundance of attractions. There is always something fun for kids to do in Torquay, no matter the season. Adults can enjoy the town's scenic coastal walks, fine dining, and lively nightlife. Cockington is home to the historic Cockington Court and a craft centre with glassblowing, and visitors can take a boat to nearby Brixham or Paignton to see the abundant marine life, as well as enjoy more wildlife at the Paignton Zoo. The Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boats, the River Dart, and the English Riviera (a unesco Global Geopark) are all within easy driving distance.
