Guests generally appreciate the cottage's cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and quiet location, ideal for exploring Bradford-on-Avon and nearby areas. The well-enclosed garden is a hit with pet owners, and the property's warmth and equipment meet the needs for a pleasant stay, despite some suggestions for improvements.
The property is frequently described as clean and well-maintained, with several guests highlighting its tidiness upon arrival. However, a few guests noted areas where cleanliness could be improved, such as under the shower mat and the oven's cleanliness.
The location is praised for its quietness, proximity to countryside walks, and accessibility to the town centre and nearby attractions. The convenience for exploring Bradford-on-Avon and the surrounding areas is a recurring positive theme.
Many guests find the beds comfortable and the property warm and cosy, contributing to a comfortable stay. Some guests, however, mentioned that the mattresses were hard and suggested improvements to the heating control for added comfort.
The property is well-equipped for short stays, with a good selection of kitchenware and comfortable furniture. However, guests have suggested adding a dishwasher and updating some kitchen and bathroom facilities. The lack of on-demand TV services and some minor maintenance issues have also been noted.
While some guests mentioned the absence of a welcome pack and suggested that it would have been a thoughtful touch, there is not enough consistent information across the reviews to accurately score the property on thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed and vary by stay.

It was a good base for visiting Bath and several National Trust properties in the area. The lounge was comfortable and the bedrooms were fine. The heating was very efficient. The kitchen and bathroom however could do with some updating. It was impossible to read the dials on the oven and we ruined one of our meals becaue of this. A copy of the cooker handbook would be helpful or at least a photopcpy of the page shopwing the cooker dials. A better shower would also be appreciated. It would be helpful if a few cleaning materials were available to use during the week. We tried to use the hoover before we left but the small of 'dog' was just awful. It had obviously been used by people with dogs in the house and hadn't been emptied. The house could really do with a good clean - the windows were dirty and it all just felt a bit tired. Not up to the 4 star standrd of other properties we have stayed in.

Opening the door and seeing the light coloured carpet, we immediately took our shoes off before walking through. 2 sofas (one a sofa bed) were very comfortable, the TV was easy to use. In the kitchen was a dining table and 4 chairs and everything you need in a kitchen. Through the back door is a well kept and private garden. Going upstairs the bathroom consisted of wash hand basin, toilet and bath with shower. The smaller of the 2 bedrooms had a double bed pushed against the wall and chest of drawers, the larger bedroom has double bed with bedside drawers either side and an airing cupboard. The rooms did get hot at night (it is summer after all) but there were a couple of fans that came in useful. Issues: Mat inside front door keeps ruffling up and if not sorted straight away could become a trip hazard. There's only one small coffee table in sitting area for 2 sofas. The dials for the oven are so well used that I couldn't work out temperature or settings, I had to go online to figure it out. The soap holder in the shower kept falling off. When closing the front door from the outside there is only a small part where the key is inserted to hold. Could do with a proper handle. Overall: The house is in a lovely quiet cul-de-sac, not far from local amenities and great location for walking. I would definitely recommend 16 Mythern Meadow for a holiday stay. I do hope that the campaign against the development of the old golf course is successful, because that area is full of wildlife and great to explore.
