Lyneham 0.4 miles. A delightful, self-contained, single-storey wing of the owners Grade ll listed former farmhouse, tucked away close to the centre of the North Wiltshire village of Lyneham, on the southern end of the Cotswolds and only four miles from Royal Wootton Bassett. Once a cart shed for the farm, this delightful cottage has been lovingly converted to create a holiday home thats full of character, with a stunning vaulted and beamed ceiling in the open plan living space. The living area features a well-equipped kitchen, which provides you with all you need for a great self-catering experience, but if you wish to treat yourselves, then one of the village pubs serving good local food and real ales is just a short walk away. Then afterwards return to your cosy retreat, where you can enjoy a DVD snuggled up with your loved one, then retire to the comfy and warm bedroom which also benefits from a TV, to rest before another busy day exploring this part of Wiltshire. Next morning, enjoy refreshments outside on your own private patio, while you decide what to do or where to visit. Take a drive into nearby Royal Wootton Bassett, where the weekly market offers an array of colourful stalls selling everything from locally-produced fruit, vegetables and meat products, to household goods. Plenty of room to park, the little garden was a sun trap where we enjoyed breakfast, on the first night a very good curry from over the road was welcome and a handy shop or two in walking distance. Nice, quiet and restful stay. The owners of this property couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and we can recommend them any time

We thoroughly enjoyed our break away. The Old Cart Shed is very well equipped and maintained. The owners are always on hand should you need anything. We appreciated the little touches and treats left for both us and our dog! The location and local amenities were excellent and there are lots of places nearby for dog walking. Also easy to get to places of interest a bit further afield. We will definitely be returning!

Used as a central to Wiltshire as we were visiting the ancient sites. Had absolutely everything we needed. Had it's own we garden with table, chairs and a parasol was in the cupboard if needed. Would highly recommend staying here for a couple. King-size bead which was great.
