Guests say

Winter Cottage in Clare, Suffolk, is praised for its comfort, well-equipped nature, and convenient location close to local amenities and walking areas. Guests have enjoyed the cosy double rooms, local scenery, and friendly neighbours. Some mention the thoughtful touch of a welcome gift, enhancing their stay. While the outside space and noise from a nearby junction were noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with guests keen to return.

There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

The location is highly regarded for its proximity to local shops, restaurants, and beautiful walks, with delightful views and historical sites nearby. However, one mention of a busy junction affecting noise levels slightly impacts the score.

Guests find the cottage very comfortable, with big and comfortable beds, and a well-equipped space that made them feel at home. The comfort of the cottage is a recurring positive theme in the reviews.

The cottage is well-equipped with cooking facilities, games, and a hairdryer, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, the outside space was found disappointing by a guest, and the uneven flooring due to the property's age is noted.

Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches such as prosecco and chocolate upon arrival. It's important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Close proximity to local businesses, Co-op, a fantastic Indian restaurant, an amazing Italian restaurant who caters for takeaways (we had a dog staying with us at the cottage). Local walk for the dog down to Clare Castle and grounds and a lovely fish van on a Friday selling fresh produce, delicious. The surrounding villages and the coast are worth visiting too. We will be staying here again.

The neighbours were friendly and it is conveniently situated in the town and near lots of lovely walking country. However the outside space was very disappointing and having to walk the dog around the corner everytime she wanted to go out was a pain. The cottage is also situated on quite a busy junction which was noisy at times.
