Guests say

Meadowsweet in Blythburgh is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its comfort, spaciousness, and ideal location. Guests appreciate the secure garden, especially those with dogs, and find the property well-equipped for family gatherings. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The property generally appears clean, but some guests have noted areas that could benefit from more thorough attention, such as under furniture and kitchenware. These instances seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is consistently praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring Suffolk and enjoying nearby walks.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the property spacious, contributing to a relaxing stay. The presence of a secure garden adds to the comfort for those with pets.

The property is well-equipped, with a particular emphasis on the kitchen and toys for children. However, some maintenance issues with showers, doors, and taps have been highlighted, suggesting room for improvement.

While the reviews mention the property being well-equipped and providing items such as a cot and high chair, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score cannot be assessed.

The extensive kitchen/diner houses a fully fitted kitchen which comes complete with everything needed to whip up a culinary storm for your holiday party and when dinner is served, make your way to the stylish dining table which is all set up for long, lazy meals together. Feature tri-fold doors open onto the gardens helping to flood the space with light and makes alfresco dining even easier. A great alternative space is the study where there is a lovely day bed just waiting for you to curl up and read a book or chill out and watch some TV away from the hustle and bustle of the main house. When it’s time for bed, there are four delightful bedrooms to choose from with the master bedroom benefiting from a TV, so you don’t need to miss your favourite programme! The remaining bedrooms include a double, a twin and a single with a pull-out truckle bed. All are beautifully presented and offer a relaxing sanctuary after a tiring day. The house was so comfortable and well equipped. Brilliant garden for our dogs to run round in and us to sit out in after a day visiting the local seaside towns. The only 'snag' that we had was that one of the doors in the en-suite shower didn't slide closed fully at the bottom due to it being out of its runner. We didn't want to start fiddling with it and water didn't get on the floor when we showered so it really wasn't a problem. If we visit Suffolk again we'd definitely book Meadowsweet again.
