A beautiful cottage in a delightful garden and peaceful setting.

It was a lovely old cottage and we enjoyed our stay. Some information on the history of the house would have been useful. The twin bedded room offered very poor accommodation with small single beds without springs (only suitable for children) and not for adults. Fortunately, our friends were unable to join us so we only used the main bedroom.

We had a wonderful week at Box Cottage and would love to go back. The house was very clean and cosy with lovely furniture and two separate sitting rooms; the house is much more spacious inside than expected. The bath is amazing, it's massive, and the kitchen is well equipped and everything easy to use. We felt there was real care shown, with basics in the kitchen like salt and pepper, oil, lovely towels, shower gel, lots of board games and books, and a helpful guide book. Wifi was fast and reliable. The garden was great - it's fully enclosed so our labrador was safe, it's big enough she could run about and play, and pretty rustic with areas left to grow naturally. The roses and dahlias were really beautiful and though the garden isn't private per se, as the fence isn't high and people walking or driving past see into it, it's on a very quiet no-through road, so is very peaceful and we weren't disturbed (no one came to check on us, which is exactly what we'd prefer - we like the privacy). The location is great; Framlingham is a quick drive and has great shops and cafes, and a castle, and while we drove to places like Sutton Hoo, we also had a few days just walking on footpaths through the fields from the house and Dennington, with a pub and cafe, is only a twenty min walk or two min drive. The weather was unusually cold and wet, though gave us an excuse to put the fire on in the evening, which was lovely. So helpful having a big laundry/boot room too when coming home from a walk in the wet to dry off the dog and deal with muddy boots. Highly recommend and would happily stay again.
