It is also near Shingle Street, an incredible 10-mile long shingle spit located at the mouth of the River Alde. The beach is a cove with lagoons and makes for a great day out. Felixstowe is less than half an hour drive and offers fantastic sandy beaches, Landguard Fort, Pier and Sea Front Gardens. It’s the perfect base for all the family to enjoy.
