A hidden gem in the heart of the river side village of Melton near Woodbridge in Suffolk, Tower End Cottage is immaculately presented and offers stylish accommodation. Perfect for a couple on holiday together, the sitting room offers an inviting space for you both to curl up together around the flame-effect fire and enjoy some quality holiday time. If you’re not feeling sociable then just tune in, zone out and watch some TV or read one of the many books provided instead; it’s up to you! The excellent kitchen has everything for the keen chef to be able to produce delicious food for the whole family. If it’s a sunny day, then open up the bi-fold doors and let in the fresh Suffolk air while you’re cooking up a storm. When the food is ready, gather around the dining table and look forward to long and happy meals together. If the sun is shining (which it does a lot in Suffolk!) then you can dine alfresco. The outside space is a real benefit at Tower End Cottage which boasts enclosed tropical garden so you an chill out and relax with a drink in hand; which is what holidays are made of. Bedtime isn’t a problem either with a luxury bedroom with gorgeous cottage windows helping to create a relaxing and cottagey vibe. Take a relaxing bath, and you’re good to go; there is so much to see and do in and around the Melton and Woodbridge area it would be a shame not to get out and explore. Woodbridge itself is within walking distance and as an historic market town has loads of fascinating history and lots of interesting shops, bars, boutiques, restaurants and pubs to discover. Take a barge along the river Deben to spot birds (keep an eye out for the elusive avocet!) or indulge in some sailing, cycling or walking, all of which are popular in the area. Other places worth visiting while on a visit to Woodbridge include Sutton Hoo, Aldeburgh, the Bawsdsey Peninsular, Southwold, Dunwich, Framingham Castle and Go Ape Thetford. Woodbridge is a historic riverside market town boasting an outstanding selection of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. The town has been famous for boatbuilding, rope and sail making since the Middle Ages. The working tide mill is a major attraction and a must visit for anyone staying in the area. The River Deben runs alongside the town and is popular for boating, walking and wildlife with wonderful views over to the National Trust site of Sutton Hoo. The town hosts a number of events throughout the year and is a wonderful place to visit.

The Prosecco,chocolates and the fresh blackberries and cream that were left for us were a welcome treat and very much appreciated. The cottage is close to a really good fish and chip shop and the nearby Coach and Horses pub serves excellent food.The cottage is also close to Woodbridge it took us about 30 minutes to walk to the town centre (we don't walk very fast).We would liked to have rented the cottage in the summer to make full use of the lovely little courtyard.If you book this charming cottage you will not be disappointed.
