Make your way to the sitting room which has a wealth of period features and is a truly welcoming space to chill out and spend time together. You can keep the kids occupied with the oak-panelled billiard room complete with full-size billiard table. There is access here to the charming sunroom which overlooks the gardens and is the perfect spot for afternoon tea. The kitchen/diner is ample in size and provides a wonderful sociable space with two attractive dining tables, where you can imagine gathering around and spending many hours enjoying long, lazy meals together. Those all-important meals can be rustled up in the comprehensively fitted kitchen which has everything needed for even the most proficient of chefs; there is even an informal breakfast bar which is a great place for guests to pull up a stool, pour themselves a drink and keep the designated chef company. Step outside and make the most of the wonderful outside space at Henstead Hall with gardens for the children to explore and a terrace for the adults to enjoy time together alfresco. Come bedtime and there are enough bedrooms for whatever combination of guests you have; eight bedrooms in total and six bathrooms so no need to worry about queuing for the bathroom in the morning! Conveniently situated just a few miles away from Wrentham and Beccles, this is the ideal base from which to explore the delights of Suffolk. The delightful seaside town of Southwold is a short drive away with other seaside towns worth visiting including Great Yarmouth, Orford and Aldeburgh. For some fantastic attractions for the whole family check out Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, Henstead Exotic Gardens, Go Ape Thetford, Framlingham Castle and Halesworth Museum. The historic market town of Beccles has excellent amenities, with unique shops, many of which are independent retailers and the range of restaurants and dining facilities are impressive, with numerous cafes, tea rooms and traditional inns. There are also a number of interesting buildings, including the Town Hall and Quaker Hall, which houses the weekly country farmers' market. The more active visitor may wish to explore the town and surrounding area via the Beccles Marsh Trail, which is divided into three walks of varying distance and character. With an outdoor swimming pool and various play areas, children are well catered for, whilst cyclists can enjoy a number of cycle routes around the town. Beccles is surrounded by open countryside, whilst an easy drive brings you to the popular Suffolk coast and the seaside resorts of Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Southwold.

The place is fantastic really, very well appointed, everything provided and huge amounts of space. The kids loved running around the various floors burning off energy while the adults could chill in the spacious lounge or play snooker. Fantastic really.
