High Ground in Reydon is a well-received cottage, praised for its comfort, peaceful location, and thoughtful touches like wine and biscuits. Guests appreciate its proximity to Southwold, the secure garden, and homely feel. While some maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many looking to return.
The cottage generally maintains good cleanliness, though some guests mentioned areas needing more attention, such as dusting, cobwebs, and a deep kitchen clean. The BBQ cleanliness was also a concern for some.
The location is highly praised for being peaceful and close to attractions like Southwold, with local shops and a pub within walking distance. Its suitability for exploring the area is a highlight.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with cozy decor, comfortable beds, and a relaxing garden. The spaciousness and secure parking add to the comfort level, although there was a mention of a dog-related odour in the lounge.
The property is well-equipped, with a special mention of the kitchen. However, points were deducted for maintenance issues like broken decking, a broken paving slab, and a BBQ that needed cleaning. The garden's condition was also noted.
Guests frequently mention the thoughtful gesture of receiving wine and biscuits upon arrival, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere of the cottage. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be provided for every stay.

It is very spacious with a large secure garden and private parking. It is a good location for easy access for walking to Southwold and Walberswick and driving to other interesting places such as Dunwich, Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings. The only slight downside is there is no upstairs toilet. Although it wasn't an issue for us it is advertised as having a wood burning stove but doesn't have one. Overall we had a lovely time and would certainly go back again.

We felt relaxed and at ease immediately and enjoyed our family holiday.

The cottage had everything needed for a holiday and we all enjoyed the gardeb especially playing hide and seek. We love Southwold and the surrounding areas, so enjoyed the locality of the cittage to Southwold with a short 1 mile walk into town and the pier. Some other great walks or bike rides to Walbersiwck via local paths. Crabbing was brilliant on the harbour. All Adnams pubs are great with freindly staff. We also visited Becckes for the skate park and outside pool (Lido). If you want proper coffee a 30min drive to Etude Coffee at Th Silo, NR35 2RU, to get your beans is a must! (this coming from a speciliaty coffee roaster Distinguished Roasts Ltd).
