The elegantly presented dining table is the perfect place to pull up a chair and sit down to eat together and really get into the holiday spirit. To relax and chill out, there is a generous seating area complete with a comfy sofa, TV for entertainment and views out onto the town. When it’s time for bed, it’s not far to go to find either a sumptuous king-size or the stylish twin; both are equally well presented and offer a relaxing sanctuary of calm after a tiring day. In the morning, grab a quick bath or shower and before heading out for the day. Stroll into Southwold and discover its magnificent beach and pier plus it has some great shops and eateries to explore and is home to the famous Adnams Brewery. Within walking distance is the picture-postcard village of Walberswick which has a couple of popular traditional pubs and great crabbing opportunities along its sandy beach. You can even buy fresh fish from any of the fish huts along the harbour. For a scenic drive to some nearby attractions, check out Framlingham Castle, Halesworth Museum, Adventure Island Play Park, Easton Farm Park, Africa Alive and Oasis Camel Park. Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, rspb Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.

Equally the microwave did not heat, again this was resolved quickly. We were impressed with how best of Suffolk dealt with problems. This is a lovely flat and very clean, a bottle of wine was left which was kind. It was a shame that no tea and coffee was there ( happy with just a couple of bags for our arrival) , there were no spare bin bags, one tab for the dishwasher, and one squirt of fairy liquid. This is all cheap to buy and would have made a big difference. Iâve never stayed anywhere in the uk with no salt, or cling film/ tin foil/ tea or coffee/ spare bin bag. If not providing any tea or instant coffee, itâs helpful to say in the booking confirmation then I could have brought some from home for the first night. These are small things and overall we really enjoyed our stay.

It was very quiet (apart from the seagulls). Overall the facilities were very good however, the shower was blocked so the water didn't run away very quickly - a maintenance issue. I'd definitely stay there again though.
