Park at the bottom of the driveway, walk past the church, and you'll find a cluster of houses. Enter through the rear into a specially designed boot room, perfect for organising your outdoor gear before stepping inside. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for home cooking, including a dishwasher to make cleanup easy. Gather in the dining room to enjoy your meal, then unwind on the sofa by the woodburning stove. Upstairs, the two bedrooms are accessible by separate staircases at either end of the cottage; the master bedroom has a king bed, while the second bedroom has twin beds that can be converted into a king-size. The first floor also includes a family bathroom with both a freestanding bath and a walk-in shower. Outside, take advantage of the large garden with patio furniture and enjoy the breathtaking views of Severn Vale, Malvern, and the Cotswold Hills. Alms House East can be booked alongside Alms House West for larger groups offering a sociable atmosphere with the addition of a lockable internal door. Forthampton is a tranquil village with numerous walking trails, some starting right from the cottage. Just under two miles away is The Hunters Inn, a traditional pub, and a bit further is the Michelin-starred Butchers Arms in Eldersfield. Tewkesbury, a nearby market town, offers a variety of restaurants, cafés, pubs, takeaways, and supermarkets, as well as a weekly market, a medieval abbey with a Romanesque tower from the year 1121 and tranquil river walks. Nearby the vibrant Regency spa town of Cheltenham is famous for its racecourse, the jazz, literature and science festivals along with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Further afield is Ledbury, packed full of delightful independent shops and cafes. Families will enjoy Toddington Railway and Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park, while older children may appreciate Gloucester Cathedral, a filming location for Harry Potter. The surrounding Malvern Hills and Cotswolds AONB offer endless walking and cycling opportunities, while Worcester and Stratford-Upon-Avon are also within reach. Other festivals in this vibrant town cover literature, jazz, science, cricket, food and drink and comedy to name but a few! The racecourse plays host to the annual, world famous Gold Cup races, as well as numerous other horse racing events throughout the year. The historic city of Gloucester offers Roman foundations, Victorian Docklands and a magnificent Norman cathedral, whose cloisters where used as a location in the Harry Potter films, plus a bustling city centre. The magnificent Royal Forest of Dean, Slimbridge Wetland Centre, the beautiful World Heritage city of Bath, Shakespeare's birthplace of Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and many unspoilt Cotswold towns and villages all make for a great day out.
