Bullfinch Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and beautiful rural setting. Guests appreciate the eco-friendly products, the well-equipped kitchen, and the warm, cosy atmosphere, especially during the winter. The hosts are commended for their helpfulness and the occasional welcome gifts, such as fresh eggs, which add a personal touch. Some guests suggest minor improvements in furniture comfort and the provision of a welcome basket.
Guests consistently note the cottage's spotless condition and the use of eco-friendly cleaning products. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.
The cottage's rural setting is appreciated for its tranquillity and proximity to wildlife, with easy access to local towns and attractions. The peaceful environment is a highlight for many visitors.
The cottage is described as warm and cosy, with a comfortable main bed and a well-stocked log burner. However, some guests mention that the sofa and dining chairs could be more supportive, indicating room for improvement in seating comfort.
The property is well-equipped with necessary amenities and a simple-to-operate TV. Guests appreciate the eco-friendly products and recycling facilities. However, suggestions for additional mugs and preparation boards, as well as comments on the low wattage microwave, indicate that there is some scope for enhancing the kitchen facilities.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of eco-friendly products and occasional welcome gifts, which are well-received. While these gestures are appreciated, it is noted that such gifts are a bonus and not a guaranteed feature of every stay.

We appreciated the free eggs as a welcoming gift. This is a cottage with beams upstairs, which we were aware of when we booked it, but as a 6' tall person I found it challenging. There was a comfortable bed, and living room sofa with a smart TV. The downgrade for the comfort is purely down to the tired kitchen chairs, which lacked support. Kingsland has 2 excellent food pubs The Corners Inn, and The Angel, both of which are recommended. There are National Trust properties nearby, and Ludlow and Hereford are lovely, which makes this Cottage well located, and worth a stay.

The rural setting was perfect. The fresh eggs left in the kitchen for us was a lovely touch

The cottage had all the necessities and was beautifully clean, the bedding and towels were very good quality. It felt like a real home from home for us two friends who live at opposite ends of the country to have a peaceful catch up, good walks and good food. The fresh eggs, doggy treats and a hand written note were a most kind thought. There are low beams of course, as to be expected in a building of this age but they were no problem. There are some good walks on Hereford Lane and other minor lanes nearby - the walk to Shobdon Arches is a real treat (as is the food at The Bateman Arms). Be careful if walking on the A4110 and B4362 though - there are no verges and the traffic goes at a rush.
