Field Fare is a well-received cottage in Herefordshire, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the warm hospitality, fresh eggs, and the property's suitability for dogs. The rural setting offers beautiful views and walks, with amenities a short drive away. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, but the overall experience is highly regarded.
The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-kept, with several reviews highlighting its immaculate condition. One mention of black beetles, typical for country properties, does not detract significantly from the overall perception of cleanliness.
The location is celebrated for its tranquility and picturesque surroundings. It's close to local amenities and offers easy access to walks and village attractions. The peaceful and rural setting is a recurring positive aspect in the reviews.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of cosy furnishings and a warm atmosphere. Some guests noted the shower room size as a minor drawback, but overall, the comfort level is highly rated.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-equipped. However, there are comments about the need for minor repairs and maintenance, such as the shower tray and toilet, which suggests room for improvement.
The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with several guests mentioning the provision of fresh eggs and dog treats. While these gestures are appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Bag of treats for our dog when we arrived. Never saw the owners which we don't mind either way. So quiet, except for the neighbouring cottage which I suspect is on long term rental, they were rather loud every morning but that has nothing to do with the owners. Eggs on arrival which was a nice touch.we only really use the properties as a base and spend most of the time exploring whichever county we are in. This cottage is excellent value and if we have to stay in the area again we will see if this is available, very good quality furnishings and just really nice touches in the cottages. One of the best we have stayed in through Sykes cottages.

The cottage is exceptionally clean and well equipped, while being tastefully furnished with comfortable sofas and beds. The owners had also very kindly left some delicious fresh eggs as a welcome gift - very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and return.
Alison
Well provided with kitchen utensils. Small issue with kitchen tap soon remedied. Certainly would recommend.
