Betty's Barn is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and picturesque location. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the hosts and the property's proximity to nature and historical sites. The presence of animals and the opportunity for countryside walks add to the charm, although some mention the remote access and early morning animal sounds.
Reviews consistently mention the cleanliness of the cottage, describing it as spotless and well-maintained. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to guests' positive experiences.
The location is celebrated for its stunning scenery and proximity to walking trails and historical towns. However, some guests note the challenge of accessing the property via single-track roads, which affects the score slightly.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with several reviews highlighting the spaciousness and cosiness of the accommodation. The presence of animals and the peaceful setting contribute to the overall comfort, although a few guests found the lounge seating to be low and uncomfortable.
The property is well-equipped, with particular praise for the kitchen facilities. Some guests suggest improvements, such as additional mugs and plates, and a few encountered issues with maintenance, like pot holes on the access road.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the warm welcomes and personal touches, such as flowers and biscuits. Gifts like chocolates and wine are mentioned, enhancing guests' stays, though it's noted these kind gestures may vary and are not guaranteed.

Great facilities. Very clean. Nice and quiet. Lovely walks. Friendly host Liz. I feel I should mention the B roads that lead to Betty's barn are very narrow includes some blind bends which can be quite stressful and quite dangerous. Caution is advised. This did impact negatively on our stay. If not for the roads (which can't be helped) We would definitely have return for another stay.

The garden and grounds were beautiful and it was wonderful to see the horses when waking up in the morning. It provided a great base for our walking holiday, close to the start of our walks and near to where our other walking group members were staying. The accomodation was a credit to the owners.

It's a stables/ livery so busier than I expected, but far from intrusive. I wanted to walk Wenlock Edge but footpaths are little used and some are overgrown. Even with OS mapping and GPS, I did a fair bit of backtracking. Worth it for the very pretty scenery and vintage buildings.
