Explore the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty from this stunning period cottage. With two bedrooms, an expansive private garden and plenty of rustic charm, this warm and welcoming home awaits couples or a family in the historic town of Clun.
Enter via the hall, a spacious area for coats and boots, and to the right, the lounge features a comfy sofa and a wood burner, perfect for relaxing after a day of discovery. This kitchen is well-equipped, and the adjacent dining area, with patio doors and garden views, is ideal for planning your days over a shared meal. A gleaming shower room completes the ground floor. Climb the steep cottage staircase and choose between two charming bedrooms: a double with a en-suite shower room, and a spacious twin with lovely views. Outside, a large garden with a patio, furniture, and a charcoal BBQ offers al fresco enjoyment. The stepped garden includes a herb garden, fruit trees, an orchard with a wildlife garden, and a vegetable patch. Newly built wooden roundhouse with seating and chimenea available all year round for relaxation time. A gate provides easy access to the local playing fields and a children’s park.
Immerse yourself in the town’s rich history, with unique buildings, a museum, pubs, shops, cafes, a 13th-century castle ruin, and the ancient Packhorse Bridge. The Shropshire Hills beckon wildlife enthusiasts, cyclists, and avid walkers where numerous trails like the Shropshire Way, Jack Mytton’s Way, and Offa’s Dyke await. The Long Mynd offers hang gliding, Ludlow hosts foodie events, and Stokesay Castle adds to the list of attractions in the area, all within 20 miles of home.
