Guests say

Guests have had a delightful experience at the Shepherds Hut, praising its cleanliness, stunning views, and the relaxing hot tub. The cosy and well-equipped accommodation offers a peaceful retreat with a homely feel. While some found the space small and occasionally too warm, the charm of the rural setting and the thoughtful touches, such as a complimentary prosecco, have left many visitors eager to return.

Reviewers consistently mention the immaculate condition of the property, indicating high standards of cleanliness that contribute to the overall positive experience.

The property's location is frequently highlighted for its beautiful views and tranquillity. Its proximity to local attractions and the peaceful environment are well-appreciated, although the presence of cockerels is noted by some.

The majority of guests find the hut cosy and the bed comfortable. However, a few mention the space being very hot in warm weather and the bed being slightly uncomfortable for some, slightly lowering the comfort score.

Facilities like the hot tub are highly praised, but some guests suggest improvements such as better refrigeration and more fans for hot weather. The mention of a non-working outdoor shower and the need for more privacy in certain areas also affect the score.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful gestures such as the welcome prosecco. While these gifts enhance the experience, it is noted that such extras are subject to availability and are not guaranteed for every stay.

The hut is in a tranquil and lovely setting. Even in 2 days of rain it was warm and welcoming. When the sun was out it was gorgeous. The bed is comfy the bath great. Out side the hot tub was lovely to use and I sat outside in the seating area a lot. The road up to the hut was flooded which meant we couldn’t walk down to the village. Lots of places to visit and pubs to eat in.
