The property's peaceful setting and luxurious touches, including a well-equipped kitchen and a roll-top bath, contribute to a restorative stay. The enclosed garden and patio are appreciated, as are the thoughtful welcome packs. While the location's seclusion is a highlight, some guests note minor accessibility issues.

Reviewers frequently mention the property's immaculate condition, noting it as spotless and very clean. The high standard of cleanliness is a recurring theme in the feedback.

The location is described as peaceful, tranquil, and beautiful, with guests appreciating the seclusion and natural surroundings. Some minor comments about accessibility and a single mention of disturbance from nearby activity slightly temper the otherwise stellar feedback.

Comfort is a strong point, with guests highlighting the luxurious feel, comfortable bed and sofa, and the overall warm and restorative atmosphere of the property.

Facilities are highly regarded, with mentions of high-end appliances, a fantastic kitchen, and a generous welcome pack. The garden and patio areas are also praised. A few minor maintenance issues and a temporary internet outage are noted but do not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in the welcome packs and small touches like doggie towels and treats. While these gifts are warmly received and contribute to the guests' enjoyment, it is noted that such extras, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Well woodland retreat was absolutely the best cottage we have stayed in. That good we booked again as so as we got home. The place was immaculate everything you could wish for and more. Our Scotty loved the garden and we even had snow which was a bonus. We would definitely recommend this cottage. And thank you for letting us share this beautiful place. Phil Grace. Beautiful location in amazing countryside. Quality property and the little extras and welcome pack were better than most cottages we’ve stayed in, local eggs, bread, cheesey bread sticks, honey & jam, coffee - very much noticed and appreciated. The outdoor space is brilliant with plenty of wood for the fire pit and charcoal for the bar b, would be amazing in the spring and summer with the bifolds open. The only point would be the security for a dog as ours ran over the cattle grid so it’s not closed in and needs a gate, particularly if there are sheep in the adjoining field. Still a brilliant stay and highly recommend.

Wow, wow, wow. Absolutely perfect. The owners have thought of everything. It’s the little touches that make it extra special. Very peaceful and secluded. The local village is a 5 min drive away with an assortment of pubs and cafes. So wonderful, we’ve booked to go back.
