Venturing into the Peak District, you have the Dark and White Peaks to explore, perfect for small circulars or more challenging longer walks. There are canal walks within 3 miles where you can also hire a canal boat for the day. Or less than 5 miles away is a wonderful nature reserve at Coombes Valley. Peak wildlife park sits less than 5 miles away, specialising in birds and small mammals, with meerkats and rare warty pigs to make friends with.
