Number 5 is a well-presented cottage appreciated for its cleanliness and high-standard refurbishment. It's compact, ideal for two, and situated conveniently for Ironbridge access, though the steep location may challenge some. Guests enjoyed their stay, praising the decor and equipment.
The property is described as beautifully presented, bright, and clean. However, the discovery of an empty wine bottle in a cupboard suggests a minor oversight.
The cottage is ideally situated for Ironbridge, but the steep hill and busy road may pose difficulties. Parking can be challenging, yet manageable once the spot is located.
The property is considered comfortable and suitable for two, though the steep stairs could be a concern for those with mobility issues or when accommodating more guests.
Facilities are generally of a high standard, but issues with Wi-Fi, lack of an extractor fan, and absence of hot water for one guest indicate room for improvement in maintenance.
There is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Ironbridge Gorge is recognised around the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Today, the area is far from industrial, and nature has reclaimed most of the former industrial sites, leaving a unique and beautiful wooded valley. The gorge is now a network of trails, bridleways, and rural lanes, and the charming settlement is famed for being home to the world's first iron-made bridge, built between 1777 and 1779.

The road has a fair amount of traffic outside, but late evening you could sit outside.

Decor and appliances are of high standard, however there is a strong smell of damp (I assume) downstairs - so much so we had to leave the door open. Had all amenities we needed but we lacked instruction booklet/welcome pack that is usual with cottages - no instructions for bins/recycling, appliance usage and we had no hot water throughout our stay. Car parking instructions seriously lacking - as per other reviews, this should be a simple fix.

Once we located the slot we used it easily!!! It would be lovely to have some indication in the property of its age and history which is available via the various Gorge Museums. The stairs are indeed very steep and not suitable for those with any mobility issues. This ought to be on the website too. Otherwise a lovely comfortable cottage. Thank you.
