The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.

Comfortable beds, good shower and bath, nicely furnished. Loved the games room. Inadequate number of saucepans, and only very small pans which meant that cooking was difficult. Lovely welcome pack.

Lovely touch with a Welcome Hamper with Prosecco. Great games room we enjoyed a game of darts and pool. Every where was clean and smelled lovely including the towels. Only things missing for me were a hairdryer and a hoover . I like to be able to hoover with having a dog. Also some kitchen tongs. Very close to amenities and there is a great butcher in the Spar . Loads of great pubs nearby .

The owners had made it very cosy and it was spotlessly clean. The welcome gifts were very special and put us in the holiday mood straight away. Very good value for money and I would highly recommend this cottage to other guests. Private note to owner (please delete from public review) - just to make you aware the double sheet had a bit of a stain on it (possibly blood), it was clear the sheet had been washed and it was clean but it may need replacing. When we arrived we were a bit confused if we should access the house by walking through the front garden of the neighbour so it may just be worth adding some further directions on the welcome email. Just a couple of minor things I thought may be useful to feedback. We had a great stay and would love to come back, you have a lovely place. Loved the welcome gifts.
