Gisburn Forest Lodge is highly praised for its beautiful setting, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches like Prosecco and chocolates. Guests enjoyed the comfortable furnishings, the hot tub, and the safe environment for children. The surrounding area offers lovely places to visit, and the lodge is well-equipped for a relaxing stay. Some guests noted areas for improvement, but overall experiences were very positive.
Guests consistently noted the lodge as clean and tidy, with fresh laundered items and a well-maintained appearance. There was a minor mention of exterior dust, but this did not detract significantly from the overall high standards of cleanliness.
The lodge's location is celebrated for its stunning views, peacefulness, and proximity to local attractions. The presence of potholes on the access road was a concern for some, but the secluded and beautiful setting was a highlight for many guests.
Comfort is highly regarded with guests mentioning the comfortable beds and furnishings. Some guests suggested improvements such as additional steps for the hot tub and better lighting, but overall, the lodge provided a cosy and relaxing environment.
The lodge is well-equipped with a hot tub, ample towels, and kitchen amenities. However, some guests felt that the lighting was inadequate, and storage space was limited for larger groups. The small fridge size was also noted, but these issues did not significantly impact the enjoyment of the facilities.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of welcome gifts and excellent communication. While such gifts are appreciated, it is important to note that they are a kind gesture and may not be a guaranteed feature of every stay.

Middle of nowhere.. so quiet. Just what we needed. Did visit places every day some lovely local villages. Waterfalls, holes. Yes we went up a hill path to see the hull pot. And ate at some wonderful local cafeâs and public houses. Oh and the jacuzzi was a plus. Thank you. Ps. Our dogs loved the garden too. Perfect get away.

Got everything you need for a relaxing break. Hot tub fabulous after walking/golfing. The access lane spoils it, although appreciate it is mentioned in description. Local Bistro looks inviting but alas we went when closed (our mistake).

I would highly recommend this lodge. Couldn't praise it enough. Everything you need for a relaxing get away or a great base for some hiking adventures. We loved it and will go back!
