Quaint little alleys and yards off the steep main street house many interesting shops offering a wide range of unusual gifts and mementos, plenty of places to eat and drink, two award-winning butchers, a bakery, and the oldest sweet shop in England. Pateley Bridge is well known for its prize-winning floral displays, whilst the nearby leisure centre incorporates a swimming pool and the riverside park with children's play area is not to be missed. Also worth a visit are the town’s Craft Workshops and the award-winning Nidderdale Museum - a lively collection of displays illustrating all aspects of Dales life in the past. A perfect spot, complete silence at night, only broken in the morning by the sound of horses being led to the stables in the morning. Also within easy reach local amenities and places to visit. Lovely place to unwind and slow down, thank you. We took a couple of lounging chairs to sit outside with altho a picnic table is there already. Lovely place to unwind and slow down, thank you very much.

I was confused over the fact that there was no dustbin to put the rubbish but that was a minor point. Thanks very much.
