Guests say

Throstle Nest Barn is consistently praised for its superb location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests are charmed by the stunning views of Swaledale, the property's tranquility, and its suitability for both relaxation and walking adventures. The well-equipped facilities and thoughtful touches, such as a well-stocked kitchen and the inclusion of games and books, contribute to an exceptional stay. The property's upside-down layout and secure garden are also appreciated, especially by pet owners.

Guests frequently mention the spotless condition of the property, indicating a high level of cleanliness that contributes to the overall enjoyment of their stay.

The location is highly praised for its quiet setting, beautiful views, and proximity to walks and local attractions, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat.

The majority of guests find the property comfortable, noting the cosy atmosphere and comfy beds. One mention of uncomfortable kitchen chairs slightly impacts the otherwise excellent comfort feedback.

The barn is well-regarded for its well-equipped kitchen, ample supplies, and additional amenities like books and games. The enclosed garden is a bonus for dog owners, though one mention of difficulty with cows in the lane suggests a minor inconvenience.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches such as the provision of milk, tea, coffee, and biscuits on arrival. While these gestures enhance the experience, it is noted that such gifts are a pleasant addition but not guaranteed for every stay.

This cottage is very clean, comfortable and in a stunning location. Lovely place to relax and unwind. Would thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful barn conversion in a lovely location. Very quiet on a single track country lane with only the very occasional passing car or tractor. Large, secure garden with loads of space ( and long grass ) for our dog to explore. Caution if you have a small terrier as there are rabbit holes in long grass a dog could go down. The cottage is well equipped with a comfortable lounge area and beds. Two excellent pubs within walking distance and numerous walks, both along the valley and on the fells. Our car didn’t move all week! Highly recommended
