Guests say

Guests have found 2 Primrose Villas to be a charming and well-equipped cottage with stunning views and a peaceful location. The enclosed garden is appreciated by dog owners, and the property is praised for its comfortable beds and cosy atmosphere. Some guests have encountered issues with space and maintenance, but overall experiences are positive, with special mentions of the beautiful surroundings and the cottage's suitability for relaxation and local exploration.

The cottage generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with most guests finding it well presented. However, there were isolated comments about cleanliness not meeting some guests' expectations, and an instance of pet waste in the garden upon arrival. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and proximity to local attractions and amenities. Guests appreciate the easy access to walking trails and the village, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat.

Comfort is well-regarded, especially due to the comfortable beds and the cosy main bedroom. Some guests, however, found the living space cramped, particularly when the cottage was at full capacity. The garden and the views contribute positively to the overall comfort.

The cottage is considered well-equipped, with a good shower and a wood-burning stove. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a dripping tap, a broken bulb, and a lack of batteries in the torch. Parking can be challenging, and some guests suggested improvements in kitchen storage and clearer instructions for appliance use.

Guests have mentioned welcome gifts such as prosecco, which add a thoughtful touch to their stay. However, as these gifts are not consistently referenced, it is polite to note that such gestures, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

We noted cleanliness was not as we would have liked. Heating in general. 1st the heating system was a law unto itself. As the weather had turned and a very cold wind came the heating came on when it felt like.3am in the morning. The hive themostat could not pickup a signal so was overiden. The log burner was a godsend. The tv was not uned and found the sat box not working as the plug etc was broken. The stereo was held together with blue tack. The wiring at the back of the tv was a mess. We moved the settee to access the cleaner and the castor fell off. The garden was overgrown as the car park and entrance. As an engineer off many years standing (Oftec/ Gas safe) I was supprised to find no evidence of PAT testing or boiler testing. No safety certificates at all. This is a lovely place with a little TLC and attention to detail be brilliant. Fantastic area with all we wanted.

A great base to enjoy the local area. Lovely decor and very comfortable. Having a dog with us,the enclosed garden was a great advantage. The weather was not yet cold enough to warrant using the fire, as the cottage was very cosy. We hope to return soon.
