Guests say

The Robins in Filey is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and convenient location. Guests appreciate the homely feel, the array of games and toys for children, and the proximity to local amenities and the beach. While most reviews are positive, noting the property's comfort and the owners' helpfulness, a few guests suggest updates and mention minor issues.

Most guests found The Robins to be exceptionally clean, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a minority of reviews mentioned cleanliness concerns, which slightly impacts the overall high rating.

The location is highly praised for being central, quiet, and within walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants, making it an ideal spot for a holiday retreat.

Guests consistently describe the property as spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable, with a homely atmosphere. Some guests suggested improvements for the elderly or disabled, but overall comfort levels are rated highly.

The Robins is commended for its well-stocked amenities, including games, toys, and kitchen equipment. Some guests felt that additional items like a tumble dryer or smart TV would enhance the experience.

While guests have mentioned a warm welcome and a basket of essentials, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures such as gifts to accurately score this category.

We particularly appreciated the provision for children's books and toys which our granddaughter loved. Great location but the parking can be an issue at times especially over the Bank Holiday weekend as we had 2 cars (not unusual for property sleeping 6) and quite understandably residents want to park outside their properties so put up signs or ask people to move. We ended up parking one car several streets away. However we really liked Filey as a destination and would definitely visit this area again.
