In Robin Hood's Bay close to the beach is a lovely cottage called Holmlea which has been renovated but is still full of character with its old fireplaces, floorboards and beams and is bright with a garden room (not heated) and sunny patio. It is an ideal place from which to explore the coast, towns and villages of North Yorkshire

We had an all too short long weekend at Holmlea and really enjoyed the cottage and Robin Hoods Bay. 60 steps up and down 2 or 3 times a day is really good for your legs. Next time we come to Robin Hoods Bay will be sure to stay at this lovely property.

We loved this property, perfect for a three generation family holiday. Very steep stairs, fine for us but not for the very young or very old! Well equipped and beautifully clean on arrival. The location was great too, half way up the steep hill in one of the narrow streets. Lots to explore and within easy reach of the beach, which is perfect for rock polling and fossil hunting. Would not hesitate to recommend this quaint little cottage.
