A heart-warming base for a family of four, not only does Ammonite Lodge enjoy access to the east coast of the North York Moors but is within close reach of the popular towns of Scarborough and Whitby. As you step into the lodge, you will immediately be taken back by the spacious open-plan living space. Spend your down time on the sofa, relaxing in front of the electric fire or catching up on your favourite TV shows, while the floor-length windows flood the room with natural light. Allow the designated chef to impress in the kitchen, utilising the gas oven and hob, dishwasher and microwave with plenty of work surfaces to prepare food. Take a seat at the breakfast bar or prepare the dining table for a larger feast. There is also a separate utility with washing machine and tumble dryer, catering for your laundry needs. Catch your rest in the either of the bedrooms, offering a double with built-wardrobes and an en-suite shower room, whilst there is also a twin with full size 3’ single beds. Completing the interior of this welcoming lodge is the house bathroom with bath and shower over, so you can choose how best to prepare for the day. Sliding doors lead out to the veranda with bistro table and chairs, ideal for a drink as you catch the evening sun. Without a doubt, one of the great beauties of the Yorkshire Coast, if not the entire UK, is the old fishing community of Runswick Bay. This charming SE-facing community is nine miles from Whitby and is nestled in a lovely, protected sandy bay with cliffs and moorland views in the background. The village offers the ideal environment for relaxation and recuperation because it is comparatively uncommercialized and has less motor traffic. Enjoy taking leisurely strolls along the Cleveland Way on the clifftop above or the sandy beach below. There is a lot to do in the neighbourhood, whether it is hiking the breathtaking North York Moors or visiting Whitby with its renowned Abbey and charming shops, cafes, and art galleries. A small restaurant and cafe are located in the lower town, while Hinderwell, a neighbouring community, offers two inns, a fish and chip store, a butcher shop, and a garage/gas station. Two miles away in Staithes is a Co-op.

We didnât want for anything. The reclining chairs were a hit to sit out and relax in! The space and storage were an asset. We were frustrated the tv didnât always work⦠and more time given to the cleanliness would be recommended! Would we stay here again⦠absolutely Thankyou

The accommodation it's self was home from home, nice and comfortable and very quiet. We are considering returning next year. We love this area and where the lodge is situated. Runswick bay and the surrounding area are very nice. A big thank to the owners Mark and Jennifer for a lovely relaxing holiday Lynne and Tony Stevens and a woof from Sally our Westy.
