There are regular boat trips from Staithes to the coastal town of Whitby only ten miles away.

Mr Garton
The cottage is in a great position and if you are lucky enough there is parking outside for 40 minutes but if you park at around 5 pm then you can park overnight and don’t have to move until 9.45 the next morning. The cottage could be with a bit of TLC andthe stairs are very steep. The beds are comfy lots of hot water and central heating great in the winter.

We were pleased with the cottage , but a couple of issues caused difficulties for us . 1. The stairs are very steep for oldies like us . This should be stated in the description. 2. The toilets are on the third and fourth floors . Not ideal for anyone , let alone septaginarians.

Great location and loads of space. Nice to have the garden area. Kitchen well stocked with all the equipment you could need. Pubs and sea close by and buses easy to get to for travel.
