Beachcrest is a well-received holiday cottage in Whitby, praised for its comfortable beds, proximity to the beach and town, and additional amenities like a hot tub and table tennis. Guests enjoyed the local pub and found the property spacious and well-equipped for families, though some noted the bathrooms could be improved.
The property is consistently described as spotlessly clean, with several guests highlighting the cleanliness as a positive aspect. However, one mention of a dirty BBQ slightly impacts the score.
The location is highly praised for its short walk to the beach and proximity to Whitby town centre, as well as the local pub across the road. The scenic views and easy access to local attractions contribute to a high score.
Guests found the beds very comfortable and the living spaces warm and inviting. However, some guests mentioned issues with mattress comfort and stuffy upstairs rooms, which slightly lowers the score.
The property's facilities, including the hot tub, table tennis, and kitchen equipment, are generally well-received. However, comments about the need for bathroom updates, a more powerful shower, and maintenance of the BBQ and outdoor lighting suggest room for improvement.
While some guests mentioned a welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits, it is not clear if this is a consistent offering for all guests. As such, while the gesture is appreciated, it cannot be guaranteed for future guests.

Scenery is stunningly beautiful towards Sandsend, imho only spoiled by golf course! Lots of things were provided, most worked most of the time. Local folk were mostly very friendly and helpful, such as the maintenance men and Costcutter shop. It cannot be easy renting out a holiday home in these expensive & demanding times; as other renters have pointed out, converting this former guest house needs much investment (as does Whitby), obviously some has been done, some maybe still to do. We have stayed at some better Sykes and other cottages, but overall this met most of our needs for the price.

! The windows & surrounds were dirty & spiders webs that had been there a while behind the blinds. Bought oven gloves & left as none there. Really enjoyed the hot tub & the size of the rooms & lovely views!! Beds comfy & clean . Had a great time

I get it is towards the end of season but there should be consistency. Some guests got welcome packs and some not, we did not, again consistency. Nice TVâs in 3 rooms, but you could only get basic channels on the bedroom one, not great if you are a strictly fan. Cleaners turned up mid week not realising we were there till Saturday.
