Lovingly restored, this Egton cottage has a warm and cosy sitting room with glorious views over the Esk Valley, whilst the galley-style well-equipped kitchen adjoins a spacious dining area. A twenty-minute walk brings you into the village, with its wide green verges and two excellent local inns, both serving food, whilst walkers are spoilt for choice with the numerous public footpaths in the area. A few minutes’ drive from this Egton cottage brings you to the popular seaside port of Whitby with its quaint cobbled market square, famous abbey and many good restaurants and tea rooms. Nice that we could use the large field in front to walk our dog. Great walks from Egton to grosmont. The only minute issue was the listing said double king size bed, when in fact it’s a double not king size, however was comfortable so made up for this. We will be back thanks

The view from the back flagged area is absolutely fantastic. One of the owners little dogs came on a couple of little walks with me and my dog. Would love to return earlier in the Summer. Would certainly recommend it , so peaceful
