This cosy lower ground floor apartment was formed from the net store of what was once a fishermans cottage, quietly tucked away within the charming village of Staithes. Set over the lower ground floor level, this holiday home is situated below a two-storey cottage and is an ideal retreat for couples wanting to get away from it all. The open plan living area with exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and a warming woodburning stove creates the perfect space to snuggle around on cooler evenings! With a pretty double bedroom and spacious shower room, Grimes Nook provides traditional, comfortable accommodation. Outside is a small front patio with bench where you can sit with a morning cup of coffee, whilst soaking up the atmosphere in this quaint, historic village. A two minute walk brings you to local inns, tea rooms and village shops, whilst the harbour and beach are just a stone's throw away. Wander around the narrow, cobbled streets and alleyways, or enjoy an invigorating walk along the cliffs to nearby Runswick Bay. A little further up the coast you will find the old spa town of Saltburn, with its elegant architecture and lovely sandy beach, whilst the vibrant port of Whitby offers excellent restaurants, independent shops and ancient abbey. . The position of the cottage was convenient but very public as on the path up to the car park ,so had to keep the blinds down. There was no access directly to the yard at the back but there was from the flat above. Despite these issues we found the facilities in the flat were fine

Overall a well presented apartment comfortable and well equipped for a short stay in a good location for access to pubs and beach but be aware there is a steep climb back to the car park
