Main Barn in Saltburn-by-the-Sea offers a cosy and comfortable stay with beautiful scenery and a great location for walking. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and the welcome pack. While some maintenance issues are noted, the responsive management and the property's charm contribute to a positive experience.
The property generally receives praise for cleanliness, with guests finding it well-maintained. However, there are isolated comments about specific areas needing attention, such as a soiled armchair and a dirty cooker, which slightly lower the score.
The location is highly regarded for its beautiful scenery and proximity to local attractions. It is described as peaceful and ideal for star watching, though access roads can be challenging for some vehicles, which is a minor concern.
Guests find the beds and linen to be of high standard, contributing to a comfortable stay. Some issues with heating and a lack of certain amenities are mentioned, but overall, the property provides a cosy and snug environment.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and WiFi. However, maintenance issues such as problematic taps, a non-functional oven, and missing advertised items like an Xbox affect the score. The management's responsiveness to issues is noted positively.
While guests mention a welcome pack, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency and thoughtfulness of such gestures across all stays. Therefore, it is politely noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Great place for all the family to meet up & lots of room for 8 of us.Every where spotless as usual & lots of room for younger ones to race around .Could maybe do with new table & chairs outside as some of the chairs a bit dodgy, but lovely to sit outside for breakfast & enjoy the peace & quiet.

Was tricky to find. I would suggest a sign post for the Main Barn property, due to other Holiday cottages with simular names, which our sat nav kept directing us to. Our Barn was down a very small rural path, tractor width, so we wasn't sure it was a road we could go down and with it also not being sign posted was confusing. So it took us a good 30-40 mins finding the property from being parked outside the Equestrian Centre at Borrowby. We ask locals who also didn't know how to direct us there. Only down side we could say about the Main Barn. Was the main oven wasn't working. So we had to change the oven fuse ourselfs as we couldn't get hold of the care taker or property owner. Would suggest at 24 hour number help due to no local places to eat with having to get in the car and drive out. We was really hungry so was a little disappointing. Other than that we had a fabulous stay and we found the property stunning.
