Nestled on the fringes of the North Yoor Moors National Park and close to the lively market town of Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside, Welburn Grange Farm is a fine holiday home to enjoy as you discover the beauty of Yorkshire. Settled on a small holding of chickens and horses, this detached property enjoys a secluded location within the countryside, making this a wonderful place to call home for groups of families and friends. Step into the entrance hallway and pop off your walking boots and waterproofs before following the slate tiled flooring into the kichen/diner. The chef of the group will relish in the range of appliances on offer, with a AGA range cooker, electric oven and hob and fridge/freezer at your disposal, there’s everything you could need for preparing hearty meals. The open-plan aspect of the room brings in plenty of natural lighting and the choice of two dining areas provides ample choice for mealtimes. When it comes to spending your downtime, there are two rooms to choose from; the sitting room boasts an expansive choice of books to get stuck into, whilst the snug enjoys a plush corner sofa and open fire, perfect for those winter evenings. Once the evening draws to a close, retire to one of the seven bedrooms, each one decorated in a neutral tone and offering plenty of storage for your personal belongings. The master features a lavish, four poster super-king-size bed with a spacious en-suite bathroom where you can choose between the roll-top bath or walk-in shower to freshen up for the day. There are also two king-size, two twins and two singles on offer, providing flexible sleeping arrangements for all party types. During the summer months, be sure to take advantage of the patio area, where alfresco dining moments can be enjoyed or a glass of something special can be had as you soak up the sun and your pooch stretches their legs. The location of the property means you are just three miles from the amenities of Kirkbymoorside, offering a range of award-winning independent shops, as well as a 760-year-old weekly market, complemented by a selection of pubs and places to eat. The local pub is the Michelin starred pub called the Star at Harome and a 20 minute drive to the number 1 Tripadvisor Restaurant in the world, Black Swan at Oldstead. There is also the Spa at The Feversham in Helmsley as well as a wide range of gastro pubs in Ryedale. Further afield you can also visit the ancient city of York for a great day out. Keen cyclists will enjoy exploring the Kirkdale and Kirkbymoorside Cycle Route, a superb opportunity to explore the moorland, woodland and country lanes of this Yorkshire location, while the North York Moors National Park is haven for walkers. Discover the 13th century Pickering castle which was used for many centuries, or take a nostalgic trip on the steam railway, winding its way to Grosmont village near Whitby. Also why not visit Castle Howard or Rievaulx Abbey for something different. Scarborough is a fabulous choice for a day out; choose from two stunning beaches, ever-popular with families, stroll along with promenade with its various charming stalls and cafés or visit the iconic Rotunda Museum, showcasing 65 million years of history in a stunning circular gallery.
