The local pub is the Michelin starred pub called the Star at Harome and a 20 minute drive to the number 1 Tripadvisor Restaurant in the world, Black Swan at Oldstead. There is also the Spa at The Feversham in Helmsley as well as a wide range of gastro pubs in Ryedale. Further afield you can also visit the ancient city of York for a great day out. Keen cyclists will enjoy exploring the Kirkdale and Kirkbymoorside Cycle Route, a superb opportunity to explore the moorland, woodland and country lanes of this Yorkshire location, while the North York Moors National Park is haven for walkers. Discover the 13th century Pickering castle which was used for many centuries, or take a nostalgic trip on the steam railway, winding its way to Grosmont village near Whitby.
