Guests say

Lamb Cottage in Ballycastle is praised for its stunning views, spaciousness, and comfortable beds. It's in a great location for exploring local attractions and offers a peaceful, rural setting. Guests appreciate the well-equipped property and the warm, homely feel it provides.

While many guests found the property to be clean and well-presented, there are recurring mentions of issues with cleanliness such as dog hairs, dirty windows, and unclean kitchen items. These points suggest room for improvement in cleaning standards.

The location is highly praised for its exceptional views, tranquillity, and proximity to local tourist spots and Ballycastle town. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the Antrim coast, with guests consistently pleased by the setting.

Guests frequently compliment the comfort of the beds and the spaciousness of the property. The presence of multiple living spaces and a warm atmosphere contribute to a comfortable stay, although minor issues with amenities are noted.

The property is well-equipped with games, books, and a modern kitchen, but feedback indicates a need for better maintenance and provision of basic supplies. Issues such as overflowing bins, lack of clear instructions, and minor maintenance problems are mentioned.

Some guests mention a lack of a welcome pack and basic provisions, which affects the initial experience. However, the inclusion of toys and games is a thoughtful touch. While gifts are occasionally mentioned, they are not consistently provided and cannot be guaranteed.

TV's had access to plenty of channels and radio. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of certain areas, both bins under the work counter had a layer of dirt around the top of them, we cleaned this ourselves, there were NO bin liners, we bought some to use, the inside of the mirror cabinet in the upstairs had not been cleaned. NO instructions in the property as to when the bins should be put outside for bin collections by the Council.... Some of the windows and doors could not be opened...... The cottage has lovely views across the harbour and local fields. Good parking area and outside table and chairs. Ballycastle has lots of shops , bars, cafe and petrol stations. Recommend Dolly's for a nice breakfast.

    Perfect in every way xxx

As with other reviews it does need a good deep clean (glass doors and windows very dirty, hand prints, etc and dust in bathrooms, window sills & dirty towels!). However, apart from above the property has all you need (except bins in bathrooms), is really well positioned for Ballycastle beach, Giants Causeway, etc. There is plenty off parking at the property but please be aware that garden is not fully fenced if you're taking dogs. I would definitely stay again despite the few grumbles.
