Guests say

Shepherds Retreat Glenlark is a cosy, well-appreciated lodge nestled in nature, offering peace and tranquillity. Guests have praised its cleanliness, beautiful woodwork, and the thoughtful touches for pets. While some minor maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience is one of comfort and relaxation in a picturesque, remote location.

The property is generally described as clean, with one guest noting a blocked shower due to hair build-up. However, this seems to be an isolated incident, and the overall impression is positive.

The location is consistently praised for its quietness, natural beauty, and green surroundings. It is considered a peaceful spot, ideal for a relaxing break.

The lodge is described as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with adequate heating and storage space. It is considered small but fine for a couple, suggesting a snug fit.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and free WIFI. However, there were comments about the lack of instructions for appliances and a request for a change of towels, indicating room for improvement.

While guests mentioned thoughtful touches such as treats and a toy for a dog, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gestures across all stays. It should be noted that while these gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed.

Small - fine for a couple - but provided everything we needed for our stay. Heating at the time of year we were there was perfectly fine - only really needed for an hour or two at night and warmed the place quickly. Good for those who came for a relaxing stay. Good value for what we paid for the week we were there.

The shower was blocked when I tried to have one so thankfully I had gloves with me and was able to remove 2 fistfuls of hair which sorted the issue. Some guidance on how to use the oven/hob would have been helpful. It was great to have free WIFI and and TV with a good selection of channels. As I was there for a week, it would also have been been nice to have had even one change of towels. These were only minor glitches that did not detract from my enjoyment of the stay. Sadly the weather did not behave so I didn't get the chance to use the fire pit.

The Shepherd’s Retreat is very cosy, nicely decorated and had plenty of storage space. The location is remote and peaceful, a beautiful spot! Thanks
