Guests say

Guests have consistently praised White Hillocks Cottage for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and warm welcome. The enclosed garden is appreciated by dog owners, and the location offers stunning views and peaceful country walks. The cottage's comfort and well-equipped nature, including a welcome basket, contribute to a relaxing stay. While most experiences are positive, a few guests noted minor issues with maintenance and furnishings.

Reviews frequently mention the cottage being very clean and tidy, indicating high standards of cleanliness. Only one review mentioned cobwebs, which seems to be an isolated observation.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and peacefulness, ideal for walking and wildlife. Some guests noted the rural setting requires a drive to local amenities, but this is generally seen as a positive aspect.

The majority of guests found the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a warm atmosphere. A few guests, however, commented on the need for better mattresses and sofa cushions.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and utility room. Some guests suggested improvements such as better kitchen utensils and updated TV equipment. The quick response to a reported issue with the oven indicates good maintenance.

Many guests were delighted by the welcome basket and treats for dogs, reflecting the owner's thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are a courtesy and not guaranteed.

From the minute we arrived and walked in the door we just felt at home. Everything you need for an extremely relaxing and comfortable break. The cottage has been done to a high standard and is an ideal location to explore the "Glens". The hosts were extremely welcoming, simply superb, and just really nice hard working genuine people!!!! We will be back, Drew, Lorrane, "wee Ella" & Alfie the working cockers...
