Sitting-out area with garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. Please note: There is a pond in the front garden.. This charming, 19th century, semi-detached cottage is peacefully situated on a quiet lane at the edge of the coastal village of St Cyrus, 30 miles south of Aberdeen with international airport. The completely natural garden provides a haven for local wildlife, birds and plants and backs onto open farmland at the rear. The holiday cottage retains many quaint features giving it a unique character and a welcoming atmosphere. The village shop, cafes and hotel are within walking distance, as are the miles of golden sands for which St Cyrus is renowned. The cliffs and dunes surrounding the beach are a National Nature Reserve where a plethora of wildlife including peregrine falcons can be spotted. Shops, pub and restaurant 5 miles.
Up to three dogs only. There is a 2 foot wide pond in the front garden.

Lovely cosy retreat for 2 and a dog.

I will start with a disclaimer. I am a retired doctor, and my wife is a retired nurse, who both returned to work as COVID vaccinators. Staying in a cottage where we were surrounded by anti-vaccer literature was therefore a major struggle for us. The owner doesn't allow check-in before 5pm or checkout after 9am, because of a virus they don't believe in!

cottage was cosy enough in most rooms. sun room, in which table and chairs were, was not used as it had no heating, certain areas of the house, especially the bedroom, seemed to spook the dog for some reason. cottage is in need of some updating and repair. felt not getting in until 5pm and having to be out for 9am was not convenient, especially in the winter months.
