This pet-friendly cottage features an inviting woodburning stove, an open-plan layout, and ground-floor living, making it a fantastic base for small families or friends looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Upon entering Hazel's Cottage, you will be greeted by the open-plan area, a warm and welcoming space that houses the kitchen, dining area, and sitting area. There is also a useful entrance porch for coats and boots and a doggy bed. Cook up a scrumptious meal in the well-equipped kitchen for all the family to enjoy around the dining table, creating a perfect setting for everyone to get together and toast to a wonderful holiday. The sitting area is a snug retreat, complete with a TV and a selection of books, DVD's, and games to keep everyone entertained for hours. The focal point of this room is undoubtedly the woodburning stove, ideal for those chillier evenings when all you want to do is curl up with a good book or watch a film. The accommodation is completed by two attractive bedrooms, a super-king-size and a twin room both with hairdryers. The bathroom is well-appointed with a bath and shower over, providing a space to freshen up each morning or unwind with a relaxing soak in the evening. Step outside to the non-enclosed rear garden, where you will find a patio and lawn area complete with furniture and a BBQ on request. This outdoor space is perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or dining alfresco on warmer days. The front garden has a large expanse of lawn and a private seating area which is a real sun trap. Allow yourself to be swept up by the enchanting Scottish outdoors; wander down to Westport Beach, a wide and stunning expanse of sand perfect for picnics, sandcastle building or simply basking in the beauty of the scenic landscapes. With three miles of golden sands it is known as one of the best surfing destinations in the UK. Ideal for walking, beachcombing and watching the glorious sunsets. Machrihanish beach is a gorgeous and unique golden beach located next to Machrihanish Golf Club only a short drive away. The Links Golf Course situated directly behind the dunes is one of the one of the most natural, romantic and most enjoyable places to play golf. For a delightful dining experience, there are numerous cafe's, restaurants and hotels where you can indulge in local produce while enjoying the warmth of their welcoming hospitality. Whatever your Highland holiday entails, a stay at Hazel's Cottage is sure to leave you with lasting, delightful memories.

Campbeltown is the Kintyre Peninsula's main town and is set in a deep bay, sheltered by Davaar Island, which can be reached by foot at low tide by a mile-long causeway, and the beautiful surrounding hills. In its heyday, the town boasted a vast fishing fleet and, allegedly, 34 whisky distilleries! Today, there are two single malts to be sampled in the town, from Glen Scotia and Springbank. Worth a visit are the Campbeltown Heritage Centre, housed in an old church, the Tartan Kirk, a very striking building which provides an interesting insight into its past history, and the 'Wee Picture House', the country's oldest working cinema and an Art Deco treasure! The town also offers a swimming pool and fitness suite. A few miles to the south is The Mull of Kintyre, made famous by Sir Paul McCartney's song, from where you can see the hills of County Antrim, Northern Ireland, only 12 miles away.
