Cosy and comfortable holiday cottage in a peaceful location a short walk from the beach this delightful traditional lodge is at the head of Loch Caolisport surrounded by a large garden. From here, not only do you have good views down Loch Caolisport, but also a vantage point from which you can observe that part of the Lochead Burn favoured by anglers. This cottage is ideal for anglers and all interested in walking, boating, wildlife and any other outdoor pursuits.

Ellary estates lie between Lochs Sween & Caolisport. This is the scenery which has made the West Coast of Scotland famous. The shore consists of rocky outcrops with inlets and sandy beaches, islands and islets and just cries out to be explored. The structure of the rock forms a series of large or small glens and corries which lie in the same direction making walking the hills a sheer delight. Many comment that the same fascination can be experienced on a short walk, not far from the accommodation where they are staying, as from a long expedition into the hills; although it is recommend, for anyone staying more than a few days, to head out to Corrbhan Mor which is the highest point of Ellary and Castle Sween estates to see the most beautiful countryside.

The area is one of outstanding unspoilt natural beauty and Ellary provides the perfect location for a quiet get away from it all peaceful holiday. The choice is yours whether you want a quiet unwind or to sample the wealth of outdoor pursuits on the door step to suitable abilities; the Estate has slipway facilities for small boats and the sailing is excellent Exploring the west coast is also possible with Oban about an hour or so by car to the north.

We booked this as it came up being about 25mins from site, it wasn't, it was 1hour 25mins from site. Its in the middle of no where, which is nice if that's what you want, but for our workers we need it closer to site and to local amenities. The place was very outdated and smelt very damp, heating is very old, wifi is non existent, so again didn't help our manger for meeting's etc! Very old furniture, Sofa had dog hairs on it and scratch marks from animals. We were very disappointed for what we paid for this. They ended up staying 2 nights then i had to find them somewhere else to stay. For only 2 nights we ended up paying £13.92 in electric, no idea how!!!!

Beautiful location in good weather, access to 15,000 acres for walking. last 2 miles of road to property quite rough. 12 miles from nearest shop. paying for electricity used would be expensive in cold weather as all electric heating. Enclosed garden good for dogs.
