Saltflats Cottage in Rockcliffe is praised for its immaculate condition, cosy warmth, and stunning location close to the beach, ideal for walks and enjoying nature. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds, though some suggest improvements in seating comfort and the provision of mattress protectors.
The cottage generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with several guests noting it as spotless and immaculate. However, a few guests mentioned areas where cleaning could be improved, such as dust on headboards and a dirty oven on one occasion.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, peacefulness, and access to local walks and nature. The stunning views and tranquility are consistently noted as highlights of the property.
While the beds are often described as comfortable, several guests have commented on the lack of comfort of the sofa and chairs. Additionally, the absence of mattress and pillow protectors has been mentioned, suggesting room for improvement in overall comfort.
The cottage is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, but guests have pointed out the need for coat racks, a clothes airer, and better bathroom facilities. The small bathroom sink and lack of a suitable drying area for clothes are noted drawbacks.
