Other sports are similarly catered for, and you'll find a golf course just 5 miles away and three mountains for biking and hiking all within 16 miles. Visit the local town of Newton Stewart, a quiet yet busy town with pubs and restaurants for enjoying a relaxing evening out. There's also a fascinating town museum here. For more history, head to the coast and visit the ruins of Glenluce Abbey (14 miles). This enchanting cottage is set in a pretty location, beautifully lined by trees, creating a wonderful atmosphere in which to stay.
