Other sports are similarly catered for, and you'll find a golf course just 5 miles away and three mountains for biking and hiking all within 16 miles. Visit the local town of Newton Stewart, a quiet yet busy town with pubs and restaurants for enjoying a relaxing evening out. There's also a fascinating town museum here. For more history, head to the coast and visit the ruins of Glenluce Abbey (14 miles). This enchanting cottage is set in a pretty location, beautifully lined by trees, creating a wonderful atmosphere in which to stay. Head into the lounge and settle onto a cosy sofa with the open fire flickering away before you. This cosy living room features a dining table for enjoying some quality food. The kitchen is a compact space with electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and a washing machine everything you need to prepare an evening meal or tasty breakfast. This property is all set out on one level, so head straight into the bright and airy double bedroom. The second bedroom has a full sized bunk bed, which is suitable for adults or perfect for children. A family bathroom completes the property, featuring WC and shower over bath. This pretty cottage has a private garden for children to play and adults to relax. There are a further two more houses on the same estate, The Coach House and The Smithy, which can be booked alongside for larger family gatherings.
