Guests have highly praised The Lodge for its stunning location, comfortable furnishings, and the beautiful, tranquil Glenwhan Gardens. The modern interior and the views are frequently mentioned highlights. While some minor issues were noted with kitchen equipment and temperature regulation, the overall experience is reported to be peaceful and enjoyable, with many guests planning return visits.
The Lodge is generally regarded as clean and well-kept, with only a few isolated comments about unclean glassware and a desire for more frequent linen changes. These appear to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is consistently lauded for its amazing views and access to Glenwhan Gardens. The proximity to local attractions and the sea views are particularly appreciated, contributing to a high score.
Comfort is a strong point for The Lodge, with guests finding the property and its furnishings extremely comfortable. There were some remarks about difficulty regulating temperature and a less than ideal shower in the ensuite, but overall, comfort levels are rated highly.
Facilities are well-regarded, especially the kitchen and tea room, but some guests noted a lack of certain kitchen utensils and issues with TV channel selection. The absence of a hot tub was also mentioned. Maintenance seems to be good, though there is room for improvement.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

The oven needs a deep clean. Sticky finger marks on the sliding glass doors. Could do with a few tea mugs. Bedding pristine. We hope to return at some point.

Ideal to be able to walk the dogs in the suprb gardens and moorland path morning and evening. Having the tearoom next door also serving vegan food was useful Had severe problems with channel selection on the TV (eg couldn't find any BBC channels) Definitely need some oven gloves. Some medium sized cereal bowls would be useful A new litter bin needed, also instructions on dividing up recycled waste.

We really enjoyed our stay and found the attached gardens to be beautiful and tranquil. The tearoom behind the lodge offers tasty home cooked food at affordable prices. The perfect place to stay for a peaceful holiday. Highly recommended.
