Acharacle is an area I know well and Rose Cottage is perfectly positioned to walk or cycle into the village and plitter around and about , over to the beach at Ardtoe for example or the secret beach at Newton . The village has public toilets , a childrenâs play park , a shop, a 24 hour garage, a hotel and 2 cafes . There is a boat that goes down Loch Shiel to Glenfinnan twice a week in season . Rose Cottage is spacious , with a new bathroom and a lovely well equipped kitchen .The garden is big and fully enclosed . Delightful ! Many thanks .

Last time the weather was wonderful but this time it was awful! But the cottage and the area is still just as lovely. Lovely to see the deer come in the garden. Easy to get day trips to Mull and Skye from here too. If you intend to eat out, you should book in advance as there aren't many places to go in the evening. Strontian Hotel is lovely for food and has great views.
