The Bungalow is a private, self-contained holiday apartment on the grounds of the Ardullie Lodge in the Scottish Highlands. Its location is ideal as a luxurious interlude for couples travelling the scenic NC500 route. There are beautiful grounds with several paths for owners and their dogs to explore and being next to Cromarty Firth also makes The Bungalow perfect for seasonal sea trout and salmon fishing. Ardullie Lodge is a Grade II-listed gem on the western shore of Cromarty Firth. It is only 3.5 miles north of the Ross-shire market town of Dingwall, where there is a Tesco supermarket, independently owned speciality shops, and busy cafes serving delicious food. The Lodge has a long history of welcoming guests. Dating from the late 1600s, it was a favourite place for the Queen Mother to break her journey on her annual trip to the Castle of Mey.
The Bungalow is more than a comfortable resting place when travelling along the North Coast 500 route. After a breakfast of free-range eggs and freshly baked bread thoughtfully provided in the welcome pack, you can go dolphin-watching at Chanory Point and admire the gardens of nearby Cawdor Castle. The seat of Clan Mackenzie, Castle Leod, is seven miles away in Strathpeffer, and you're close to ten golf courses, including the seafront links at Dornoch Firth. The historic city of Inverness is a half-an-hour drive from The Bungalow, opening up even more opportunities for sightseeing and shopping during your stay.
