Guests say

The Lookout is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its stunning location, cleanliness, and beautiful decor. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, modern amenities, and the thoughtful welcome pack. While some minor issues were noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with recommendations to stay and intentions to return.

Guests consistently mention excellent cleanliness, describing the property as very clean, warm, and cosy. This suggests that cleanliness is a strong point for The Lookout.

The location is frequently highlighted for its stunning views and peacefulness, with easy access to local shops. The proximity to the beach and scenic surroundings contribute to a high rating, despite the mention of rain affecting the experience.

Comfort is well-regarded with mentions of a cosy atmosphere and great beds. However, a minor issue with a narrow sink and a desire for an additional bathroom slightly affect the score.

Facilities are generally good, with great WiFi and a well-received renovation. Some guests noted a lack of certain kitchen items and a discrepancy in the garden's description, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While guests mention a welcome pack and the owner's helpfulness, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of thoughtfulness across all stays. Therefore, it is politely noted that such gifts are a kind gesture but not guaranteed.

It really is a gem of a place! All credit to the owners for a super smart renovation of an ordinary bungalow into a stylish comfortable holiday home. The whole house is light and airy with a great open plan living area with amazing views (you can see the distillery from the lower deck!). The interior design reflected the surroundings and the artwork all made the place feel really homely and comfortable - great beds too! The welcome pack of local beer and crisps was much appreciated and the owner’s information guide was excellent. It gave us some great ideas! An additional bathroom would have been useful, but it’s a brilliant place on a idyllic, restful and relaxing part of the island!

It was comfortable and welcoming . Only issue we had was the gravel drive so we couldn’t get the car to the top of the drive so had to park halfway down
