Pine Marten Lodge is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its beautiful presentation, cleanliness, and serene location. The hot tub and wildlife sightings add to the charm, creating a peaceful retreat. While some guests encountered maintenance issues and discomfort with bedding, the majority enjoyed the amenities and the lodge's proximity to local attractions.
Most guests found Pine Marten Lodge to be immaculately clean, contributing to a first-class stay. However, a few mentioned issues such as a dirty shower mat and soiled bedding, which slightly impacted the overall perception of cleanliness.
The lodge's location in the Northern Highlands is generally appreciated for its quietness and proximity to wildlife and local attractions. Some guests noted the presence of noise from a nearby road, but this did not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback on the location.
While many guests found the lodge comfortable and cosy, there were several remarks about uncomfortable beds and insufficient seating for larger groups. The comfort of the beds was a recurring issue, with some guests finding them unsatisfactory.
The lodge is well-equipped with a variety of facilities that guests enjoyed, such as a hot tub and a well-stocked kitchen. However, there were reports of maintenance issues like a non-working dishwasher and insufficient hot water, which affected the overall experience.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches beyond the standard amenities provided, so it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness of the host in this regard. Therefore, this score is set to null.

Plenty of lovely local walks on the door step. Daily visit from the red squirrel and a peaceful location, and on a rainy day the log burner made all the difference.

Comfy beds, well equipped & in a great location. Really enjoyed the hot tub & watching the squirrels would definitely recommend others to stay here. Just a few niggles we had, there was no hot water in the shower, it set off warm & then would go cold. Tried to contact the person who emailed us the details but they were on annual leave & then tried another email & phone number & no one got back to us. The other thing there was 5 of us & only comfy seats for 4 people, so 1 of us had to sit on a kitchen chair to watch a film & the final thing was we would have liked the deck outside to be swept up tidy. It was full of twigs & pine needles. This didn't spoil our stay but just things to improve on as it isn't cheap to stay here for a week & the small things matter.
