just a couple of niggles - the bathroom floor is unpleasently spongy near the shower ( we did our best not to stand on it, but its not easy) and perhaps a couple of baking sheets would be useful in the kitchen. The owner contacted us to check how we wanted the bedrooms set up, which was appreciated. On the whole we would certainly recommend the house

The location is wonderful and the building has great potential, however as others have said the cleanliness was poor. There were lots of cobwebs, what appeared to be mouse droppings, one of the toilets hadn't been cleaned prior to our arrival and there were items of clothing that had been left by a previous resident. As mentioned in previous reviews there also appears to be a lack of maintenance recently. The broken downstairs toilet seat and the loose bath handles have both been mentioned in previous reviews. More worrying several of the windows cannot be opened and neither could the outside door in the bathroom so in case of a fire your upstairs emergency exits are very limited. Finally the users of the fishing office (under the apartment) were very noisy some mornings and woke me up, on one occasion before 0700hrs. It's a real shame that this property does not seem to be receiving the investment it deserves, it could be so much more. Unfortunately we won't be returning next year and will be seeking another property in the area.

Thick dust on the skirting boards and doors. Dust and fluff on the wardrobe floors. Cobwebs on the windows and ceilings. Microwave and toaster needed cleaning before able to use. Oven filthy. Cups stained and required washing before use. No cleaning materials available, had to buy them Breadcrumbs on work surface under the toaster. Evidence of active infestation of mice.
