Situated in the coastal town of Cullen, Moray is 171 Seatown, a characterful, fisherman's cottage. Just paces away from the beach and a selection of amenities, 171 Seatown offers a well-positioned base for a family of four and their furry companion, looking to explore the Lowlands. Park up to the roadside and head indoors, to your new traditional abode. Be greeted by a compact yet well-equipped kitchen/diner, where you can fulfil your self-catering needs and dine as a four. The sitting room offers a homely space to unwind after a day near the coast, with an electric fire to light with the TV on in the backdrop, whilst the first-floor snug provides a quiet nook to retreat to. Two double bedrooms are on offer, one resting on the ground floor, whilst both are serviced by a shower room. If you're looking to explore, be sure to visit Cullen Harbour Beach, following the Portknockie Cliffs Path around to reach Portknockie Harbour, where you can grab a bag of fish and chips whilst strolling across the shorefront. Travelling west, head to the WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre, a family favourite, whilst the Garmouth & Kingston Golf Course is nearby, where you can perfect your swing and enjoy a competitive afternoon. With Banff nearby, enjoy tours of the magnificent Duff House, or pop on your walking boots to follow the hiking trail of Bridge of Alvah, whilst Elgin is a must for a day of sightseeing, with a cathedral and Elgin Museum as popular recommendations. Enjoy the best of Moray at 171 Seatown.
The Moray coastal town of Cullen is situated on Cullen Bay, an inlet of the Moray Firth, and is an extremely attractive town, originally built around the mouth of the Burn of Deskford. Modern Cullen comprises the delightful fishing village of Seatown and an ‘inland’ area, which stretches up an imposing main street from Seatown, underneath a spectacular viaduct. Although the wealth of Cullen was built on textiles in the 18th century, the town is best known for its fishing heritage, its name being given to a rich, creamy haddock soup known as Cullen Skink. Visitors can enjoy Cullen’s lovely sandy beach, the famous Ice Cream Shop, regarded by many as Scotland’s best ice cream parlour, a fine selection of shops and restaurants, and the historic city of Elgin is within driving distance.
